YML

YML is a research project that aims at providing tools for using global computing middleware such as GRID, Peer to Peer and metacomputing environment. YML software architecture enables the definition of parallel application independently of the underlying middleware used. Parallel applications are defined using a workflow language called YvetteML.

    • The version 2.2.0 of YML is now available with support of XMP 0.5.4.
    • The version 2.1.0 of YML gives improvements of data exchange between components.

    • We are currently developping a new version of YML to support parallelism at 2-levels. The first level is at coarse grain with the task dependences which are exectuted in parallel. The second level is at middle grain. Each task/component may have a parallel implementation written in XcalableMP (Univ. of Tsukuba)/MPI that gives two levels of parallelism expressed at a high level with YML. This work is in the scope of the FP3C Project (ANR-JST)
